What is it like to teach at Falmouth Public Schools?
Falmouth is a coastal town on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It’s known for its beaches, warm community feel and dedication to children. The Woods Hole Science Aquarium is home to marine life such as seals and lobsters. Many partnerships assist the Town’s youth in receiving a
well rounded education; Volunteers In Public Schools, Community School, Falmouth Education Foundation and many more.
What kind of support does Falmouth Public Schools offer new teachers?
The Office of Teaching and Learning organizes the induction and mentoring partnerships. There is a new educator orientation for two days in late August in addition to the three days all teachers are required to attend for professional development, orientation and preparation for the opening of school. These are organized by the Office of Teaching and Learning.

Each school Principal is the hiring manager for their school. They screen, interview, check references and depending on the time of year often have candidates teach a model lesson before selecting a finalist to recommend for hire.
