What is it like to teach at Framingham Public Schools?
Whether you are looking to raise a family, find an affordable home outside of Boston or searching for a place that offers vertical growth professionally, Framingham is your destination. We have strong working partnerships with corporate partners who are headquartered in our area that includes TJX, Bose, Staples and Genzyme. We also boast strong partnerships with colleges and universities include Wellesley College, Framingham State University, Lesley University, Boston University and Mass Bay Community College.
What kind of support does Framingham Public Schools offer new teachers?
All new teachers receive a mentor to support them in their transition into the district. This year we will be kicking off affinity groups for staff and a new program called Equity Ambassadors in an effort to support school culture and staff retention.
How does Framingham Public Schools demonstrate that it is commited to teacher diversity?
The Office of Equity helps lead and support the district’s initiative on teacher recruitment. Diversity is at the forefront of this work as it is crucial to not simply have proper representation in the district but to also maintain and uplift those individuals. Candidates that speak another language (preferably Portuguese or Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply as the district has expanded dual language program offerings from 1 to 4 schools.
